It's also the sole robot mop we tested that comes with a built-in water reservoir to automatically wash and refill the cleaning pads after each vacuuming and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is placed unobtrusively at the top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and then starts to scrub. It is able to move slowly and with care over surfaces to make sure it doesn't accidentally spill wet mud or spills across carpeted areas. It is capable of staying clear of the path of furniture, cords and other obstacles.

Its sensors are good at detecting larger objects, like HVAC vents, and furniture. However, they struggle with smaller objects, such as cables and small rags, which may cause the robot to miss certain spots.
The M12 also has the ability to detect and navigate up stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also return automatically to its OMNI Station to wash and dry mop brushes and to refill its water tank. When the batteries run out, the OMNI Station can even clean itself and empty the dust bin when the batteries are depleted.

- Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro has been designed as a powerful mop and vacuum that is also user-friendly. The gunmetal base station automatically fills up its own tank of clean water, then empty the dustbin into a smaller bin and ishes and drys its own mop pads during cleaning sessions. It has advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and eliminate pet hair from carpets and clean thresholds for rooms that are raised.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping thanks to its internal dToF system. It can maintain the appearance of a low-profile, while offering excellent object detection. It can be driven close to walls without crashing and avoids steps, and can also raise its mop when driving over rugs and short-pile carpets. It struggled a bit when it encountered longer-pile carpets as well as some thick, long messes with dried-on debris.
Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box, and requires only an initial mapping session to get it used to your home. Once it's done, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined depending on the need. You can also create virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go zones if you don't want the robot to touch specific objects.
The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to both vacuum and mop makes it an excellent option for homes with both types of flooring. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) makes it less versatile than other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning solutions.
